What's in season in December

December is about winter staples. Home growers are picking Brussels sprouts, kale, leeks and cabbages, lifting parsnips, and cutting rosemary, with squash and apples from store.

Grower tip: Set clear collection windows around Christmas and say when you're away. Sprouts aren't on the each list, so offer them as a bagful that's free, a swap or pay what you think.
